He used photoshop to edit the images so that they would be different from one another. Questions: I think that at least 25 images were used in this composition. The photos look like they were all taken around the same time of day. There is obvious photoshop used. There appears to be different filters in some areas than others. There is also different contrasts and effects used. There are no other considerations.
